I got the result of my hip xray yesterday and I don't need a hip replacement...there's nothing wrong with it! However they've found a lump attached to the neck of the femur which they think is an Enchondroma. I've got to have a MRI scan. Anyone had one...or does anyone want mine???

However, seriously, I am thrilled that you don't need a hip replacement.

Is there any treatment for this enchwhatsit?

Is our lovely Carol still doing well? Please give her my love when you next speak to her.

Carol came out of hospital last night....she stuck up a post somewhere! She's doing well.
On the x ray there's a translucent lump of something stuck on the neck of the femur. The first thing I thought was that it was something horrible but my GP thought it probably wasn't. All my bloods are fine. If you google it they say that some can become malignant. Oh *$^% !! When it gets scanned they should tell me what's happening.

I must have upset someone, somewhere at sometime!!

Oh stewart- Anything to get noticed heh?!

We have boring RA, OA or bursitis in our hips but no! Not exotic enough for our stewart! He would have to get a thing that sounds like someone yoddling the name of a dinosaur down the Alps!RollEyes

Well, it's funny you should mention that Doreen cos I think I've picked up that norovirus as well. I haven't been sick but I've had the s***s since Monday. Can't remember the last time I did the eye of a needle thing!!Tongue I feel absolutely knackered as well!

Jenni, I hope I haven't got to have surgery but I suppose it'll be down to the results of the MRI. I've got an appointment with my RA Consultant next Thursday. My GP has written to her expecting her to book me in for the scan quicker.

Hi Stewart

From my experience of looking on the internet everything could possibly be the Big C. I've scared myself on numerous occasions so now just wait and see what the docs say. What do they say about a little bit of knowledge.

I agree, you can scare yourself silly looking symptoms up on the net, or in books.

I hope your prob is easily treatable, Stewart.

Fingers crossed it's not too bad
